Review of Yr 2 art exhibition

Aims
To provide potential starting points for A2 course work.

Here is a review of the year 2 work which is currently up for the visual art exhibition, which I went around to have a look at and experience in person.

How do you feel year 13 work is different from year 12 work?

I, believe that the year 13 work is different to the year 12 work because of the depth and quality in the work and how they go into finer detail.

Select a student whose work interests you.

One student interests me a lot with their work, this student is called Jason Morshgreen, I really like his work because I like the colours that are used in his work and the way he links digital work with things like painting.

10 artists/designers I would like to explore further:

John Clang
Paul Wright
Kathy Kelly
Tai Shansschievebeg
Jeinifer Nook
Jean - Dierre Walte
Edward Collier
J.D.Hillibury
Bella Howard
Andrew Woffiriden

How can you see evidence of artists studied in their final work?

With the different media and techniques that the person has done as it is like the way that the artist that they looked at paints.

Select one student from outside your specialist studio whose work you like, explain why.

Emily Elbourn; I really like the way that she uses fauvism in her work and it is mainly based on impressionism.

Find two different materials and techniques you have not used before.

- I really like the way that Carrie Hubbard shows her reverse applique by taking away all of the layers in the same place this way you get colourful areas in the burnt bits.
- Also the way that Fiona Nuttall links all of the cotton and string into her work.

List a theme that you would be interested in exploring next year.

- I would like to explore movement in photography, as I feel that it is a very exciting theme for photography as you capture a lot in the photograph.
